Ayia Kyriaki Chrysopolitissa (also known as The Church at St Paul's Pillar) is a beautiful Greek Orthodox church situated on an important historic and religious site. This is a very special place with a wonderful atmosphere .
Anglican weddings are celebrated at Ayia Kyriaki on Mondays and Tuesdays with service times varying depending on the season. Larger numbers can be accommodated at Ayia Kyriaki than at many of the other venues and if any member of your party uses a wheelchair this can also be catered for. Please inform our Wedding Coordinator so appropriate arrangements are made. More information below. |

Ayia Kyriaki is a very special church which we use only with the kind permission of the Cypriot Antiquities Ministry. We must follow the following rules in order to be allowed to conduct services here.
NO CONFETTI can be thrown anywhere in the church or grounds. This includes rose petals or bio-degradable confetti.
DRONES are NOT permitted to film or fly over the church or anywhere in the archaeological area surrounding the church.
MUSIC. Only a select range of suitable live music is allowed at Ayia Kyriaki and therefore our organist is available to play for your service at no extra cost. 'Popular' musicians/singers, or pre-recorded music are not permitted at this historic and special venue.
Additional musician(s) such as a harpist or classical string quartet may be acceptable but, to avoid disappointment, please contact us with details of your musician and the music you wish them to play, to request approval, BEFORE you book them. More information on music in this venue is available on the 'Music' page of the website.
FLOWER displays and other decorative items e.g. Lanterns and signs may be permitted but, again, please contact us with details of your plans, so approval can be requested, BEFORE you book with your supplier. We reserve the right to refuse their use on your wedding day if you have not contacted us for approval before your wedding.
We understand that these rules may seem a little restrictive but they originate from the Cypriot authorities. We have to respect them to continue to offer all our services, not only weddings, but also funerals and baptisms along with the Sunday and midweek services that are held in this wonderful building by ourselves and the Roman Catholic parish who share use of this church with us.
